The Good: This newly renovated 1500'sq country home sits on a gated 56-acres, giving you access to a large 3-acre lake ideal for fishing, canoeing and kayaking. There's a newly remodeled gazebo on the lake with a swing, perfect for relaxing and taking in the sights. There are more than 20 wooded acres ideal for hiking; creeks for wading and exploring; and plenty of room for a garden. There are 3 other homes on the property, situated such that everyone has plenty of privacy. An on-site property caretaker mows the lawns and takes care of maintenance so you can sip a cold beverage and watch them while they mow your expansive lawn! The kitchen is brand new! New cabinetry, granite countertops, new stainless steel self-cleaning stove, and new dishwasher! The living room is huge with large picture windows that look out over the lawn and a second, little lake. (New blinds are on the way.) A new deck is right off the living room and provides a great spot for relaxing, watching the deer and other wildlife, and reading or taking in the fresh air. All the flooring is brand new! This is country living at its best - You'll be surrounded by nature, but just minutes from Gene Snyder, giving you quick, easy access to all parts of the city. No smoking is allowed in the house. No hunting or sport shooting is allowed. The Bad: If we have to say something bad about this house, then this would be it: Typical of houses built in the 1960s, there is no closet in one of the bedrooms. However, there is a large closet just outside the bedroom that serves as a bedroom & bathroom closet. The second bedroom has a closet - and a beautiful view! The washer/dryer hook-ups are in the basement. (Washer/dryer can be provided for another $75/month.) This basement is also a walk-out garage with the typical 1960ish lower ceilings. The concrete floor is painted and new lighting has been installed to brighten the area. There's plenty of room to park a small car, or to have a game table/rec area for the little kiddos - or the big kiddos. The space is air conditioned and heated for your comfort. An attached car port provides additional parking and there's another parking area large enough for 2 cars. A brand new electric garage door opener has been installed. The Ugly: We just can't think of anything! Owner pays water, trash & recycling. Renter takes care of other utilities. Pets are allowed but deposit may change based on the individual pets. $50 non-refundable application fee. References will be checked.
