Cozy lakeside home, fully furnished with basement game room, 14 minutes to Mount Abram Ski area, 22 minutes to Sunday River Resort, 15 minutes to Bethel, 25 minutes to Norway, 30 minutes to Rumford, 1 hour 15 minutes to Portland. The house is situated on Lake Christopher, also known as Bryant Pond. It's a 270+ acre, deep water lake, considered a game fishing lake with Landlocked Salmon, Bass, Splake Trout, Rainbow Smelt, Cusk. The lake is beautiful in the winter for snowshoeing, ice fishing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling. In the warm weather, it's beautiful clean warm water for swimming. We have an area to the left of the docks that we call the kiddie pool - it's shallow and sandy bottom and easy for wading into the water. No algae or reeds. It's a relatively quiet lake compared to many - no jetskis permitted. We tend to see small motor boats occasionally, mostly fisherman and locals cruising around, and lots of kayaks/SUPs. A substantial amount of the frontage of the lake is conserved land, and most of the lots are a half acre or larger, making it a less populated lake. With our wooded and spacious lot, you'll enjoy privacy from the neighbors on the decks and around the grounds. Could also makes for a fabulous seasonal ski rental or home base for traveling nurses and physicians, or locals looking for a winter escape. Easy access to Rt 26, surrounding towns, and Portland. First floor has living room, kitchen, dining room, 2 bedrooms with queen size beds and a full bathroom with tub. Second floor has den/movie room with an impressive VHS collection, two more bedrooms (one queen bed, one set of twins), and another full bathroom with standup shower. Basement has game room, laundry, and another set of twin beds which is not considered one of the bedrooms. We used that for overflow when we had guests over the summer. The basement is not heated. Winter ski rental available Jan 1- March 31. Home comes fully furnished with utilities included No cats. One dog max.
