This is a single family home (you will have the entire house and property to yourself, minus the garage and a fourth bedroom) in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood that's great for walking and biking, especially the 1.3 mile loop trail at Northridge Park, 4 blocks away. This is our full time home that we live in with our two young children. We will be seeing family this winter so we are renting our house out while we are gone. If you also have children, we are happy to let you use our various kids toys and items during your stay. Neighborhood: very walkable. Northridge Park - 13 min walk or 2 min drive Bloedel Donovan Park at Lake Whatcom - 4 min drive Whatcom Falls Park - 5 min drive Galbraith North entrance - 6 minute drive Very close to Hwy 542 to Mt Baker ski area. Haggen (nearest grocery store and pharmacy) - 5 min drive Trader Joe's - 10 min drive Whole Foods - 11 min drive Downtown - 12 min drive Target - 13 min drive Costco - 15 min drive Kitchen: We love to cook so the kitchen is very well-equipped with quality appliances and tools (new glass electric stove top, new dishwasher, large french door refrigerator/freezer, Cuisinart food processor, Kitchenaid standing mixer, French press, rice maker, combo toaster oven/air fryer, quality knives, microwave). You are welcome to use these things, we just ask that you treat them with care as this is our actual home. Bedrooms: -Master bedroom has a king memory foam bed with an ensuite bathroom (separate shower and clawfoot tub). One of the two closets will be cleared for your use. -Second bedroom has a queen Tempurpedic bed and small desk where you can either sit or stand. -Downstairs daylight basement bedroom with 1 king bed, dresser, couch and lots of space that you can use to exercise, study, work, etc. The washer/dryer are in the bathroom there. Bathrooms: -Ensuite bathroom in the master bedroom was recently renovated and has a separate shower and clawfoot tub. -Second full bathroom has a shower/tub combo. -Downstairs half bathroom houses the washer and dryer. Living room: -Living room and dining room share an open floor plan. The big windows and omnipresent douglas fir trees make you feel like you're in a treehouse! Lots of privacy, even with the large windows. Top down, bottom up window shades. -No TV, but we do have a projector with an Xfinity streaming box and sound bar in the living room. It's awesome for watching movies on cozy winter days. -There's a nice comfy sectional couch and electric leather recliner. -Enjoy the easy to use gas fireplace for extra warmth and ambience. Parking: -Parking is available on driveway and street. It is a steep driveway, but it flattens out at the top. Deck and Back Yard: -Comfortable, private deck nestled in the trees for morning coffee, stargazing or barbecuing. -Enclosed back yard provides a lower flat grassy area. Up the wooden stairs is an elevated grassy area with a firepit and chairs, perfect for stargazing with a small fire. We can be somewhat flexible with start and end days. -This is a pet-free and smoke-free household. Non-negotiable due to allergies. Property Fees: -Cleaning Fee - $250 -Deposit (due at signing, refundable at end of term less cleaning fee) - $3000 -Monthly Rent - $3000 (this includes ALL utilities i.e. WiFi, electricity, water/sewage, natural gas, and 2x/month trash & recycling).
