Skiers can walk to the lifts in the morning, and ski straight home in the afternoon, at this roomy, furnished A-frame on Mad River Glen. Sugarbush is 10 minutes away for those who like to ride. In other seasons, the nearby countryside offers hiking, biking, golfing, swimming and great views. Utilities are included! This has been a magical place for generations of my family. The mountains (and the chalet) reminded my Austrian mother of her home country. The piles of snow, the skiing, the fireplace, and the views were all great fun for children, pets -- and adults too! The space: The first floor has a large boot room with laundry and generous space for equipment, an open living/ dining/kitchenette area with ceiling-high windows, and a large curtained-off bedroom area with full bath and sliding glass door to the back yard. A circular staircase accesses the main floor, with open kitchen, dining and living rooms, a large sundeck, custom fireplace, another wall of windows, master bedroom, full bath, new dishwasher, and flatscreen HDTV. Two large curtained bedroom areas on the third floor round out the space. UTILITIES INCLUDED! Price includes propane (heat), electric (cooking, hot water), internet and wifi, telephone (local service), washer/dryer, new dishwasher. There is parking in a generous driveway, and plowing is included. (The only extras are optional cable and trash. Many people stream these days, but if you'd like, you may also have a cable service plan of your choice added on. And most go directly to the transfer station, but pickup service may also be added on.) SEASONAL RENTAL FOR SKI SEASON. We're asking $24,000 for the 6-month winter season. Dates are flexible, but may begin 10/16. An additional month or two, for extended skiing or to finish out the school year, are also welcome, and we'd offer a discount for any added non-winter months. Long-term rental may also be possible. We have decided to allowed well-behaved pets this year, and are happy to hear about yours! No smoking.
