About This Property

The property is 6.7 acres and includes woods, gardens (flower, fruit and unused vegetable garden), porches (screened and not screened), chicken coop / fenced dog area in the back, tent platforms, trampoline, makeshift disk golf course. There are 3 bedrooms/ 1.5 baths. Internet provided through fiber optic cable. The house was initially built in either 1832 or 1890, depending on who you ask, but has been updated throughout the years, including a fantastically large kitchen addition built in 2001 (and new stainless refrigerator, stove and dishwasher). We have a washer (high efficiency), dryer, and clothes line. It is not officially "furnished," but we will leave three big tables in the kitchen, a big dresser / bureau, shelves with glass doors, a big cabinet, a rolling countertop, possibly a queen bed.The older part of the house is heated with a very efficient heat pump, the newer part is heated with propane, there is also a wood stove, but we maybe prefer you don't use it unless you are experienced. The two rooms upstairs get a little hot in the summer but stay warm in the winter. Please tell us a little about yourself, who would be living there, and what you are looking for! Thanks. Run a very small 200W heater in the pump house on very cold nights (mid or low 20s) and a dehumidifier in the crawl space during the wet season. Monitor and share temperature and humidity data for house and crawl space that you can collect automatically on your phone from our bluetooth meters. No chemical applications of bug killers, herbicides, etc... outside. Limited mowing (We will mow two or three times per year)- we like to keep most of the expansive yard pretty wild and encourage the growth of many flowers and plants. Property is fairly secluded and private, off the road, but we like to come over and tend to plants, pick berries and figs and such, work on little outdoor projects and do maintenance on the old house. We are probably going to sell it in the spring, and will be working on little projects to prepare it for sale. Since we will likely sell in the spring, we are looking for only a six month lease. You will have access to most of a storage shed across the driveway. We would like to allow our physician friend to come over and stealthily bow hunt for deer (he only would shoot away from the propery or populated areas). There is a septic tank and leech field, so don't flush or put anything down drains like grease, paint, wet wipes, acids, bases, etc... basically only TP and soap.)
